Menton, perched on the French-Italian border, is nicknamed the “Pearl of France” for its pastel old town, lush gardens, and Riviera charm. Its mild climate makes it famous for citrus groves and the annual Lemon Festival that fills the streets with color. We visited here after a long winter in may, we ere hoping the water was warmer than it actually was, it was still good enough for a swim.
