Hello, I’m Lockie

From one years old I spent my childhood camping in the bush in North Queensland, Australia. On a beautiful little campsite with no toilet and a fresh water river running beside the campsite. I suppose this is where my love of adventure came from. It is something that feels like it’s in my blood.

My Journey with image-making started at 23 years of age when I finished my electrical apprenticeship and first travelled aboard to Europe, I realised that I couldn’t show my family and friends how beautiful some of the places I was going were. So I bought a point and shoot Sony camera, I felt my confidence develop, it became a way to express myself, a tool to be able to show people how I saw the world. After travelling for sometime I realised maybe I should buy a better camera and try and get better skills. I bought a Sony RX10 and began to develop more skills and take on small projects from local businesses. A few years later I traded it all in and bought a Sony A7iii and decided it was time to follow my dreams and dive into winter van life in Europe. I wanted to see more of the world not just the touristy places, I wanted to be on mountains and push myself to my absolute limits. 5 years on I’ve managed to travel throughout every corner of Europe, gain a life time of mountain skills and work with brands I never thought I could imagine.

Now as we begin a new chapter of moving back to Australia I’ll be focusing on different adventures, different sports and living the memories I cherished growing up in Australia. .
